Bridges: Projects in Rational Tourism Development

PLEASE NOTE Bridges-PRTD sponsors volunteer, academic, recreational and technical programs which cooperate with remote Himalayan communities in developing tourism. After a five-year hiatus due to the political instability in Nepal, Bridges-PRTD will resume academic/volunteer expeditions in Autumn 2008; please see our draft proposal for an expedition focusing on respiratory health in the Himalayas of Nepal.

Much of our ongoing activity is carried out in collaboration with Mountain Legacy, a Nepalese NGO that we helped establish.
